Frequently Asked Questions
Where will you travel?
I travel all over Gippsland and surrounding areas within a 1.5 - 2 hr radius of my studio in Hill End. Location weddings are welcome, outside a 2hr commute accommodation will need to be provided.
Some of the locations I frequent are Inverloch, Noojee, Neerium South, Walhalla, Sale, Packenham, Warragul, Drouin & Traralgon.
How Small a booking do you take?
My minimum for a booking is two services, don't feel you need to have a large bridal party to book me, I'm quite happy to do elopements. Two services can be a persons hair and makeup or two peoples makeup or hairstyling.
How large a booking do you take?
For a makeup only booking I can manage 6 - 7 myself (around 7.5 - 8 hour prep). For a hair and makeup booking, 3 Hair & 3 Makeup (around 7 - 8 hour prep) is the largest I can do. I know some hairstylists who I can recommend for larger bookings, just let me know what you require in the contact form.
Will you cut hair as well?
Im afraid I don't cut hair as I am a Makeup Artist and have trained in Bridal Hair Styling, I'm not a hair dresser. I recommend you get a trim with your regular hair dresser before the wedding so you have nice neat ends.
Do you offer Groom hairstyling or makeup?
Yes I can style anyone in the bridal party. I offer groom hairstyling and makeup services. Acne or scar coverage, discolouration and hyperpigmentation can be corrected so you feel great for your photos. New severe sunburn or open cuts I cannot apply makeup over for safety reasons. Glamour makeup looks are the same pricing as my regular makeup applications.
Can you accommodate allergies?
Yes I can, depending on the allergen we need to avoid I'm able to make adjustments for clients who require them. Just let me know your specific needs in the contact form.
What if I have sensitive skin?
I share in this struggle myself and nothing goes in my kit that I cannot personally wear on my very sensitive face. However your skin is different and what works for me might not work for you. I will always patch test any products that might cause you a problem before we begin and make adjustments accordingly so you feel comfortable and confident during your session.
Can you cover tattoos or scars?
I do offer tattoo and scar coverups for the body, details for how I cover them are explained in the price list. Any questions at all please don't hesitate to get in touch with me through the contact form. If you have a scar or tattoo that needed to be covered on your face it would be taken care of with your regular makeup application.
Do you take bookings on Sundays?
I do yes, I can work any day of the week tho it is predominantly Thursday to Sunday. I work Public holidays as well if needed and all weekday weddings are welcome. The studio is only open from Thursday to Sunday depending on your needs.
Do you book multiple weddings on each day?
I don't no. I feel that if a client has booked me for their day, then they should have me there for whatever time they need. I don't want to be rushing through your bridal party to push onto the next days booking.
What if I just want to book you for Hairstyling?
All bookings are welcome, it's what you need for your day and Im happy to provide either hairstyling, makeup or both.
How much is the deposit?
30% is required to secure your wedding date. Deposits are non refundable if cancellation occurs.
When do we need to pay the balance for the wedding?
The remaining amount is due 30 days prior to the wedding date. Payment plans can be arranged if you prefer to pay instalments.

Thank you so much for everything Kate. Everyone absolutely loved their makeup and it lasted all night and in the heat. We are all so grateful for the time you spent with us. You made sure we were all 100% satisfied (which you amazingly achieved despite us being a family of perfectionists). We really appreciated all the small extra touches you did (helping to straighten a slightly skew nose, covering blemishes and allowing us to try different eyelash styles.). Thank you big time Kate for taking care of my bridsmaid and I during my wedding. We loved how orgnaised you are. The Makeup you used on our faces didnt make our face sticky, considering I sweat a lot on my face. We loved our little retouch makeup pouch. Our hair looked amazing. Big thanks for that because we both have thick hair. I highly recomend Kate not just because she is a great professioanl makeup artist but also because she will make you the most beautiful brdie and bridesmaid ever.

Kate did such an amazing job for my wedding! Not only for myself but also for my bridesmaids.
I never wear make up so I was a bit scared of the result, but the airbrush she used felt sooo light and comfortable and it lasted all night long (husband was very impressed too)!!

Myself and my bridesmaids had such a wonderful experience with Kate for our hair. From my trial to the big day, Kate was just superb. She has such a calm nature and nothing was too much trouble. I wanted braids and curls, and Kate outdid herself. My hair lasted all night (and in 33 degrees!) and looked amazing. If you have an event coming up, I recommend you contact Kate straightaway! Kate was recommended to me by our photographer and I am so lucky she was. From my trial to our wedding day Kate was so easy to deal with and incredibly supportive throughout. I had a wet and incredibly windy wedding day and my stunning makeup and Kate’s beautifully styled curls held up all night long.
Kate was fantastic when I decided to change my makeup slightly from my trial and I couldn’t have been happier with the results. Kate was a pleasure to have with us on our wedding day, even though she was on her feet working for 8 hours straight ensuring we were all happy.

Kate is nothing short of amazing!
I recently got married and Kate styled my hair and done my makeup for me.
I had completed a trial prior and was so happy with the results and was so excited for the wedding.
On the wedding day, Kate just exceeded expectations even more, with a stunning low bun and beautiful makeup application. It was so nice to have someone who really cares about their work, making sure it was perfect before she moved on to the next.

Kate was magic! From when I first booked her, during the lead up and the wedding day she was so calm and easy to talk to about everything. She was honest and open to all of our ideas and had a blast with how much glitter I wanted her to use haha!
The morning of the wedding she fit in perfectly as one of the girls and took care of distracting any nerves, checking up on everyone, working gorgeously with our hairdresser and of course treating Mum, my two bridesmaids and myself to a first class experience.
