Makeup Lessons
Makeup lessons are one of my favorite types of appointments. As a lifelong artist and former School Art teacher, I love showing clients how to enhance their best features so they can feel more confident in their day to day lives. Unlike a traditional glam appointment, where the results last a single night, a makeup lesson provides skills that you can use every day to feel extra put together day to day or little a bit fancy for a night out.
So join me to learn a little or allot (whatever you need) form the world of makeup.

What to Expect from Your Lesson:
I thought it would be helpful to break down exactly what I teach in a one-on-one session so you know what to expect and also help me to tailor the lesson to your specific needs. Whether you're considering booking a full glam lesson, an eyes only or just starting your own makeup journey, you'll get the idea of what we will cover so you feel comfortable and excited for session.

My goal with makeup is to always use is as an enhancement and not to hide or transform you into someone else. You already look exactly how you're supposed to look and that is beautiful, we are just adding a bit of extra glam and enhancing your features
If it is our first time meeting, my first job is to understand how you like to look and suggest how I would enhance your best features using the colours and intensity you prefer. Whether you're someone with 5-10 minutes to do your makeup in the morning (most of us) or you're lucky enough to have a designated hour (none of us, I'll show you quick and efficient techniques using the least amount of high quality products to achieve your look.

I offer three types of makeup lessons:

1. Eyes Only

During an Eyes only lesson, I take you step by step through pepping the eye to layering and blending products to best complement your eye shape. We learn two different eye-shadow techniques, how to apply eyeliner & mascara. How to fix mistake and fall out, smudges and base repairs so no matter what happens you feel confident in completing you look. We learn about different products and offer options in different price ranges so you can successfully build your kit to suit your individual needs.

2. Beginner Basics

This class is suitable for all ages and skill levels. If you are new to makeup or want to build up your skills, this is the best option for you to build on your understanding of products, how to layer them, brush types and how to use them.
Skin care basics, setting your look and we cover two quick and beautiful eye shadow techniques that you can do easily yourself at home.

3. All in Glam

This class we do a deep dive into everything, perfecting a day/ work look and then elevate it to an evening glam. We do personal kit overhaul, I can offer product recommendations and we also may need to edit some that are expired or not working well for you. We learn two different eye techniques, how to apply eyeliner, mascara, fix mistakes and smudges with ease. Colour match your foundation, prep your skin. Refining your makeup routine and helping to curate an affordable kit that works for you.
This class includes platter, drinks plus a complementary 30min Zoom after your class to follow up any questions and help with technical issues if they arise.

Lessons & Tool Kits
Lesson Structure of your choice

We all learn differently and depending on your preference, we can approach the lesson in two ways:

Option 1.
Guided application - I apply makeup to one side of your face while you follow along and apply the same products and techniques in steps to the other side.
Option 2.
Demonstration-based - I apply the makeup and discuss the process as I work, while you observe in a mirror and take notes.

De-cluttering & Refining Your Makeup Kit

This step is like a wardrobe detox but for your beauty bag. Let's be honest — most of us hold onto makeup we never use, and I'm definitely guilty of it too! In this part of the session, we'll go through your collection, sorting out:

-
Expired products that need replacing
-
Items you love but don't know how to use effectively
-
Gaps in your kit where a few smart purchases could make all the difference
Unlike beauty counter appointments, I'm totally brand-neutral, meaning I'm not officiated or compensated by brands and I only recommend products I truly believe in. You also have full use of my professional kit, so you can try high-end and professional products before investing in them yourself. I will give you some samples to try at home as well.
